Established in 1998, Avec Solutions is a not-for-profit social economy business specialising in providing high quality IT consultancy and support services.

Avec Solutions’ range of services includes consultancy, hardware and software installation and support, as well as content-managed website development and internet hosting using robust and secure open source technologies.

Based in Avalon House, a community business centre in Belfast, Avec Solutions serves a wide and growing client list, mainly in the not-for-profit and social economy sectors, but also including many small businesses and professional firms. While our IT support services are principally offered within Northern Ireland, our web services division operates on a global basis, providing content-managed website development and hosting for clients across the UK and Ireland, continental Europe and North America.

As a leading player in the social economy, any profit generated by Avec Solutions through trading is either reinvested into the company to ensure the continued delivery of a high quality service, or is redistributed through charitable bodies for the benefit of the whole community.

Management

Avec Solutions' web services division is managed by Geoffrey Ready, Managing Consultant with Avec Solutions for 10 years. Geoffrey has extensive internet web design and training experience, with particular expertise in open source content management systems and CSS-based design, and has himself developed more than 100 Joomla! CMS-based websites. Apart from his technical expertise, his strength is in working closely with a client organisation to ensure the website fulfils its strategic goals.
